Spanish Class

On Saturday morning all the faculty kids get together for spanish class in one of the dorms.  A few of the students usually teach the kids.  Now we're headed to the gym for some free-play time before we head over to Uncle Jeff's house this afternoon!

Conversation in the car between Whit and Owen on Friday:

"I have something in my pants Mummy.

Umm, you don't say...

"Yes, Daddy has one too but his is bigger!

Umm, I'm sure that's true but...

"Yes, it's a big hole in the knee of my jeans!

Oh my, well yes that's absolutely true. (Whew!)

Tag in the Dining Hall

It's a quiet weekend on campus so the kids could run around after
lunch. Owen and Jake had a great time.

Basketball this afternoon

We went to the hockey game and basketball game this afternoon which was fun for everyone.  Afterwards Owen went to the gym and played basketball with some other kids.  Here he is practicing his dribble.  

On the mend...

Whitney was going stir-crazy, so she loaded Owen into his wagon and pulled him over to campus to get the mail.  I happened to be in the Main Bldg. and it was fun to watch them coming up the drive.  I had a mtg in the Head's office, so they stopped and waved in the window as they passed by.

He was feeling better yesterday already, but much better today.  He was up early ate breakfast and was ready for train races before I left for work.

I was trying to keep my distance, so I barely saw him the last two days.  I really missed him!

Stomach Bug

Whitney and Jane had a nasty bug this weekend and it hit Owen in the middle of the night.  He was up most of the night (Whit too), but slept in until 9am.  Then he spent 20 minutes on the couch and the rest of the day in bed!  Imagine that, Owen spent an entire day in bed.  It's a first and possibly a last too.  He seems to be doing better tonight, but I can tell that he's still far from recovered.  Let's hope he's feeling better tomorrow...

Eating like a horse...

He's been very, very hungry this past week.  He slept late last Tuesday, then ate everything in sight for the last 7 days.  All of this adds up to: taller boy.  I'll bet he grew 2 inches this week.  We had to go buy new shoes and pants!
