A visit with Grandma

With Whit away for a few days, Owen is enjoying some special time with Grandma this week.  He has been on his best behavior, and Grandma has only needed one nap so far.  He hasn't been sad at all and even talked with Whit by phone for a few minutes this morning.  In past years, we stayed away from phone calls because we were afraid it would make him sad.  Amazing to see just how much he's grown up!

Dog Collars

"Daddy, I have a question."

"It's not time for questions, it's time for sleeping.  Close the door and go to bed."

"It's a really important question."

"They always are... what is it Owen?"

"I've been wondering, why do dogs wear collars?"

Here's a shot from a recent visit to the park. We went for a long walk and ended up down by the lake where Owen had a good time throwing sticks in the water. We all had a good time, but I wound up with a mean case of poison ivy!

Uncle Jeff's wedding

Owen was very honored to be included in Uncle Jeff's wedding last weekend.  He looked particularly cute in his tie and blazer for the ceremony.  It was also a treat for him to see all the various Swenson and Kunkel relatives who attended.
