The Capital tour was a huge hit. I've never seen Owen so earnestly interested for so long. He dutifully followed behind our guide Vernon, listening intently the whole time. He even answered a trivia question.

First NHL Game

The Caps played the Rangers tonight and we decided to go at the last minute. Owen was panicked about the eagle mascot most of the time. It turned out to be a great game, a 5-0 win for the Rangers. Owen says he loved it.

We arrived in DC. Owen's first plane ride went great and he loves the hotel. We head off to the White House after breakfast.

School Meeting

A group of students is competing in the US First robotics competition.  They brought their robot to school meeting for a demo on Saturday morning.  It was pretty impressive and they also tossed rubber bracelets with their team name to the students.  Owen really, really wanted one.  He spotted one on the floor up front where a new group of students was standing to make their announcements.  I could see the wheels turning and he decided to walk up in front of the whole school and retrieve the bracelet.   The students responded to his bravery and the innocence, cheering and high-fiving him as he walked back to us for a big hug.

SeaT lands in the dog dish

Owen was throwing Sea T around in the kitchen this morning and he landed in Seven's water dish. He required a bath and is now drying next to the radiator.
