Pajama Day

Yesterday was pajama day at school and Owen decided to wear his all day long. Whit and Owen went to the museum in the afternoon and there he was riding the train, wearing his PJs. He looked over and said, "Uh, I'm really enjoying myself!"

He's a reader!

We went to the bookstore this weekend and he read an entire book to me!  I think I only had to help him with 2 or 3 words and he did the rest.  

Whitney, as you might imagine, is very excited.

Cute Couple

Amelie and Betsy came for a visit this weekend and the kids had a good
time. Here they are at the mall, with Amelie modeling her new outfit.
Can't you just hear Owen mumbling, "Yes Dear, that hat does look
adorable on you. Can we go to the Lego Store now?"

Basketball with Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit this weekend (which is always a
treat). We took a tour of campus and stopped to play some basketball
in the gym. Owen invented a little game where he'd "steal the ball"
from Grandpa. I think he did it 20 times! Grandpa was very patient
with him and seemed to enjoy it too.

A perfect afternoon

We're actually watching a hockey game here. Somebody tell me how this could be any better...

"I love Seven"

Seven came home on Tuesday, and by Wednesday evening Owen confided in me that he loves her.  They really have bonded quickly - she lights up when she sees him.

A visit with 7

We went to visit the puppies last night, and I think we've made a
decision on which one is coming home with us next week. This little
green collared pup seemed to bond with us during the visit. She's the
second largest of the females, dark red color, adventurous and very
sweet. We'll pick her up on Weds or Thurs!

Spanish Class

On Saturday morning all the faculty kids get together for spanish class in one of the dorms.  A few of the students usually teach the kids.  Now we're headed to the gym for some free-play time before we head over to Uncle Jeff's house this afternoon!

Imaginarium

Owen made a house complete with vehicles, a garage, and ramps to get in and out. Quite an imaginary day...

Conversation in the car between Whit and Owen on Friday:

"I have something in my pants Mummy.

Umm, you don't say...

"Yes, Daddy has one too but his is bigger!

Umm, I'm sure that's true but...

"Yes, it's a big hole in the knee of my jeans!

Oh my, well yes that's absolutely true. (Whew!)
