All the kids line up and file down the hall to the library where they select their books. Apparently all the kids had chosen their books and checked them out, and Owen was still browsing. Whit tried to prod him along, but the other kids had to wait for 10 minutes while he chose just the right ones...

Owen has probably read (or listened to) more books than anyone else in his class, so he has a harder time choosing books. Could that be it? :-)
Maybe. He certainly seems to consider his choices very carefully!
